Founded in May 2016 by Valdis, the KPD got off to a bit of a rocky start, but has since run fairly smoothly. Originally comprised of former gang members and students from the Jade Dojo, the group has become unified and effective. Special training was enacted to ensure safety around weapons and officers are trained in non-lethal combat techniques. The Headquarters does not yet contain its own forensics lab and often outsources to the College labs, but two forensics Kedan are on the KPD payroll. A small lab is in the plans once enough funding is available.

The KPD Headquarters is a large building with specific rooms for case files, a weapons room, temporary holding cells, a small indoor shooting range, two private offices, a room dedicated to desks for officers. It also contains a small meeting hall, a lunchroom, an interrogation room, a sparring room for small training classes and a briefing room.
